Will, Estate and Probate Law

Estate Planning

Estate Planning is asset management during your lifetime and asset allocation after your death. Estate Planning includes primarily Will and Trust documentation and asset transfer documentation. Estate Planning can be fully personalized to your particular wants and needs. If you wish us to do so, we will discuss your estate plan with you, your accountant, your financial planner and whomever else you wish to consult to get a plan that works how you want and to your greatest benefit.

We can create trusts such as Charitable Trusts, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, Revocable "Living" Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts for Gifts, and Trusts to protect your Spouse and/or Children.

To protect you in the event of surgery or accident, we can prepare Durable Powers of Attorney for Health Care and Financial Matters, as well as living will directions.

Family Mediation

We offer Mediation services to help families sort through issues that arise in the administration of a relative's estate and/or trust.

Probate Services

The loss of a loved one can leave unanswered questions and issues left to resolve, even when the loved one had an estate plan. Through the probate process, bills can be paid, issues can be resolved and title to assets can be transferred. These services include all Court Filings & Reports, preparation of Income, Estate, & Inheritance Tax Returns, and obtaining requisite Tax Clearances.

Will/Trust Contests

We can assist you as an heir in an Estate and/or Trust if you believe that the estate is being conducted improperly.

Guardianships & Conservatorships

When someone is unwilling or unable to take care of their day-to-day activities and/or financial decisions, they may require a guardianship and/or conservatorship, which is a Court-monitored process by which someone can be named to make decisions for the person who needs the assistance. We can assist by initiating the action, preparing all documentation, and monitoring the guardianship and/or conservatorship on a regular basis.
